Why subscribe?
I miss things sometimes, don’t you? In an effort to stay off my phone more, a quick click to subscribe allows me control of what information is coming at me on any given day. I imagine you’re busy too, so why not subscribe to make sure you don’t miss anything? Then you can save your time for things you want to spend time on, and only come back to the newsletter when I land in your inbox (which I promise will only be twice a week).
You keep me accountable, too.
Every year I say “I’m going to write more this year.” I’m a writer by trade. All of my education was spent in training in writing. I’ve been a writer of words for as long as I can remember. I’ve been writing online in some fashion for the better part of 20 years. (Remember Blogspot? I still have that live somewhere on the internet, I’m sure.) I’ve published books, articles, and bible studies. But lately I can’t seem to get my fingers to the keyboard to just write. So I’m trusting you’ll keep my hands to the proverbial plow.
On Tuesdays, I’ll write a short post - “Lessons Learned.” Who doesn’t want to learn something on a Tuesday? It could be something learned recently in the Bible. It could be a tip I’ve learned in teaching the Bible. It could be from a book I’m reading. It could be something I learned a long time ago that is creeping back into my life. But hopefully it will keep me fresh in writing.
On Fridays, I’ll send you a longer post for your weekend reading. This will be a deep dive of sorts—sometimes a continuation of the Lesson’s Learned, sometimes completely new. Because I’m a Bible teacher (I do have a bible/theology degree, too), it will likely stem from some truths God is working deep into my soul. Writing is for us as much as it is for others, so I will take a continued stab at what I’ve been doing for the last fifteen years of writing—writing in view of God’s great mercy to me (Romans 12:1).
